Why a native Ukrainian voice matters
The most common failure in Ukrainian TTS is not an English accent but a Russian one, because so many multilingual models learned Cyrillic mostly from Russian. Ukrainian г is a voiced h, not a hard g; о stays a full o in unstressed positions instead of reducing to an a; and и and і are separate vowels that Russian-trained voices merge. Get those wrong and the result reads as Russian pronunciation applied to Ukrainian text - which is exactly what Ukrainian listeners notice first.
