Why a native Polish voice matters
Polish is the consonant-cluster language: szczęście packs five consonant sounds before the first vowel, and the contrast between sz and ś, cz and ć, ż and ź is meaningful rather than decorative. English-trained voices merge those pairs and break the clusters with inserted vowels, which is the single clearest sign of foreign TTS in Polish. Polish also has fixed penultimate stress - every word, almost without exception - so a voice that applies English stress patterns sounds wrong on every second word.
