We think you shouldn’t pay monthly to transcribe occasionally.

Why we built it

Most transcription tools are subscriptions. If you record every day, that’s fair. But a lot of people transcribe in bursts — a run of interviews, a season of a podcast, a few meetings — and then nothing for weeks. Paying $10–$20 every month for tools you barely touch never sat right with us. So we built the opposite: top up a few dollars, spend what you actually use, and keep the rest for whenever you need it.

What we believe

• Pay for what you use. No subscription, no monthly reset, credits never expire.
• Hold as little as possible. Audio is streamed to the AI for inference only and isn’t stored on our servers; transcripts auto-delete after 90 days.
• Work in your language. 99 languages in, translation into 18, and an interface in 18 languages.
• No bot in your calls. Record locally and upload — your conversation doesn’t route through a third-party notetaker.
• Say the real number. AI transcription is 90–97% accurate on clean audio. We’d rather tell you that than promise perfection.

How we work with your audio

We run on OpenAI Whisper for transcription and OpenAI and ElevenLabs voices for text-to-speech. Your file is sent to the provider to be processed and is not kept on our servers afterwards. The text output stays with your account and is removed on a rolling 90-day basis. You can use Speecho as a guest, without an account, if you’d rather leave no trail at all.
