For every room where words get lost

Foreign languages, bad acoustics, tired ears - read instead of straining to hear.

Meetings in a language you half-know

International calls where you nod and hope, catching every third word while the discussion moves on.

Now: Read live subtitles in your language while they speak - in a floating window that stays on top of the meeting.

When you can't rely on audio

A noisy room, a quiet speaker, hearing fatigue - listening alone doesn't cut it.

Now: Large, readable captions of everything being said - as it's said.

Talks, tours & visits

A guest speaker, a lecture, a client visit - and half the room speaks another language.

Now: Put live translated subtitles on a screen - or straight into your stream with the OBS overlay link; everyone follows in real time.

Subtitles appear while the sentence is still being spoken

Interim words show up instantly and settle as the phrase completes - original above, your language below.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get live subtitles for a meeting or lecture?

Open Speecho in your browser, choose the language to translate into, press Start and allow microphone access. Subtitles stream in real time - the original speech and, if you want, a live translation.

Can I subtitle a call or video playing in my browser?

Yes. Switch the audio source from "Microphone" to "Browser tab", pick the tab with your Google Meet, Zoom, webinar or video, and enable "Also share tab audio". The tab's sound is captured digitally - cleaner than a microphone - and your own mic can be mixed in so both sides of a call are subtitled. Requires Chrome or Edge on desktop.

Can I keep the subtitles visible while I work in another window?

Yes. Pop the captions out into a floating window that stays on top of everything else - your meeting, your slides, a video - while the Speecho tab keeps listening in the background. Text size, theme and the stop button travel with it. Available in Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers; anywhere else, use the fullscreen mode.

Can other people follow the subtitles on their own devices?

Yes. Turn on the live link toggle during a session and share the link - or show the QR code from fullscreen mode - and up to 20 people can follow the subtitles in real time on their phones or laptops, no account needed. Sharing is off by default. If you leave it on, the same link keeps showing the full transcript after the session ends (you can revoke it anytime). Need a bigger audience? Contact us.

Which languages are supported?

Speech is recognized in 56 languages with automatic detection, and can be translated live into your chosen language at the same time. If everyone will be speaking one language, you can name it to sharpen accuracy - and both the spoken and the translation language can be changed mid-session, without stopping.

Can I show the subtitles in OBS or on a projector?

Yes. During a session, copy the OBS overlay link - a chromeless version of the viewer with a transparent background and high-contrast captions. Add it as a browser source in OBS or vMix to overlay live subtitles on a stream, or open it in any projector setup at a church, conference or lecture hall. Style it before you copy: caption color, top or bottom placement, how many lines stay on screen, the text outline, an optional dark band behind the captions, and whether the Speecho mark shows in the corner.

What if my internet drops mid-session?

Short outages are survivable. Speecho keeps listening, holds on to what is said while the connection is down and reconnects on its own - so the words spoken during the gap still land in the subtitles. Your viewers and OBS overlay stay on the same session, and the offline time is not billed. If the connection stays down for about a minute, the session ends and the transcript is saved to your history.

Is the session saved?

Yes - when you stop, the session is saved to your history as a transcript. You can download it as text or SRT/VTT subtitles, summarize it, or share it. If you were sharing the live link, that same link keeps working afterwards and shows the full transcript with an AI summary on top - ready to send round after the meeting or lecture. Turn on "Keep audio" before you start and the recording is saved next to the transcript, private, for 90 days: play it back from any timestamp, or run it through the full-accuracy transcription afterwards for a cleaner text (billed like a file upload). Need a break mid-session? Pause it - the link, the transcript and the recording stay in one piece, and paused time is not billed.

How much does it cost?

Live subtitles are billed by the second against your pay-as-you-go balance - the same credits used for file transcription, from $0.83 per hour. No subscription.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in the browser on laptops, tablets and phones. For presentations, use the fullscreen mode with adjustable text size.
