Frequently asked questions
Does it handle different Spanish accents?
Yes - Mexican, Rioplatense, Caribbean, Andean and peninsular Spanish are all recognised, and you do not have to tell it which. Where accuracy actually suffers is speed and overlap: two people talking at once is harder than any accent.
Do I have to set the spoken language?
No. Detection is automatic, and this page opens the app with Spanish already selected as a hint, which helps when the first few seconds are quiet or contain English brand names. You can change it before or during the session.
What happens to Spanish words with no clean English equivalent?
They are translated to the closest meaning rather than left untranslated, which is the right call for a subtitle someone is reading in real time. The original Spanish stays on screen above the translation, so a bilingual reader can see both.
Can the audience read it on their phones?
Yes, through a link you share - normally as a QR code. It opens in the browser, needs no account and no install, and the reader can set their own text size.
What does an hour cost?
