Why a native Arabic voice matters
Arabic has a set of sounds that simply do not exist in English - the emphatics (ص ض ط ظ), the pharyngeal ع and ح, the glottal hamza - and vowels that are mostly unwritten, so the voice must infer them from grammar. This is where non-native TTS collapses: it approximates the emphatics with plain consonants and guesses the vowels wrong. Native voices produce the sounds properly and vocalise unvoweled text the way a news reader would.
Four voices read Modern Standard Arabic (فصحى) - the register of news, books and formal content, understood across the entire Arabic-speaking world: Sara and Ghizlane on the female side, Anas and Mazen on the male, the latter a deep advertising voice. Three carry regional colour: Masry, Egyptian - the accent of Arab film and television - Jeddawi, Saudi, and Salma, Levantine, the conversational accent of the eastern Mediterranean. For pan-Arab content choose MSA; for content aimed at one market, the regional voices sound local.

Is it Modern Standard Arabic or a dialect?
Both. Sara, Ghizlane, Anas and Mazen read MSA - right for news, education and formal content anywhere in the Arab world. Masry is Egyptian, Jeddawi Saudi and Salma Levantine, the three most widely understood regional accents.
Does it handle unvoweled text?
Yes - like a human reader, the voices infer short vowels from context and grammar. Fully voweled text (with tashkeel) is followed as written, which helps for Quranic or teaching material.
Does it read numbers and mixed Arabic-English text?
Yes - numerals are read in Arabic, and English names or terms inside Arabic text are pronounced as English. Right-to-left text with embedded Latin fragments is handled correctly.
