Why a native Turkish voice matters
Turkish is agglutinative: one word can carry a whole English clause (evlerinizden, from your houses), and the suffixes chain according to vowel harmony, so the vowels of the ending follow the vowels of the root. A voice that does not know the pattern stresses those long words in the wrong place and breaks them into pieces. Turkish also has two letters English has no equivalent for - the undotted ı, and the soft ğ that lengthens the vowel before it rather than making a sound of its own.
All four native voices speak Istanbul Turkish, the register of national broadcasting and by far the most widely accepted for published content. Frequently asked questions
Does it read ı, ğ, ö, ü, ş and ç correctly?
Yes - all six are native sounds for these voices. The undotted ı and the soft ğ in particular are what foreign TTS gets wrong most often, and they appear in almost every Turkish sentence.
Does it handle long suffix chains and vowel harmony?
Yes. Agglutinated words are read as single words with correct final-syllable stress, and the voices follow vowel harmony because they were trained on Turkish speech rather than assembled from rules.
Is it Istanbul Turkish or a regional accent?
