## How text-to-speech pricing works

Speecho voices your text from the same pay-as-you-go balance as transcription - no separate plan. You’re billed per 1,000 characters, and the rate depends on the voice tier: **Standard** at 50 credits, **Enhanced** at 110, and **Premium** at 160. Roughly 1,000 characters comes out as one minute of audio, so a short blog intro or product description costs a few cents. **How much does text-to-speech cost on Speecho?**

It depends on the length of your text and the voice quality. Standard voices cost 50 credits per 1,000 characters, Enhanced 110, and Premium 160. At Speecho’s credit prices that is roughly $0.07–$0.33 per 1,000 characters - pay-as-you-go, no subscription.

**How long is 1,000 characters of speech?**

About one minute of spoken audio at a natural pace. So a 5,000-character script is roughly five minutes of voiceover.

**What is the difference between the voice tiers?**

Standard voices are clear and made for everyday use, great for drafts and narration. Enhanced and Premium use ElevenLabs voices that sound more natural and expressive, for a higher credit cost. You can preview every voice free before spending a credit.

**Do I pay a subscription for text-to-speech?**

No. Text-to-speech uses the same pay-as-you-go credit balance as transcription. Top up from $5, credits never expire, and you get 150 free credits when you confirm your email.

**Does a dialogue with several voices cost more?**

No. A dialogue costs exactly what the same text costs in one voice: paste all the lines together and the number above holds, however many voices read them.
