## Hear the difference

The same Polish sentence, twice. Adam is a Polish speaker; Zoe reads Polish with an English accent - the sz/cz/rz clusters and the nasal ą and ę are where it falls apart.

Adam - native Polish

All 6 run on the ElevenLabs tiers: Enhanced at 110 credits / 1,000 characters (≈ $0.23 per minute of speech) and Premium at 160 (≈ $0.33) for the most natural result. The Standard tier reads Polish too at 50 credits, and for most languages it has native voices of its own. Every clip downloads as MP3. ## Why a native Polish voice matters

Polish is the consonant-cluster language: szczęście packs five consonant sounds before the first vowel, and the contrast between sz and ś, cz and ć, ż and ź is meaningful rather than decorative. English-trained voices merge those pairs and break the clusters with inserted vowels, which is the single clearest sign of foreign TTS in Polish. Polish also has fixed penultimate stress - every word, almost without exception - so a voice that applies English stress patterns sounds wrong on every second word.

All six native voices speak standard Polish. Magdalena is a calm, authoritative female narrator and Beata a gentler, more reflective one - both suit long-form and educational content. Adam is the most-used Polish voice in the library, a serious, smoky male narrator with a Mazovian colour; Alex is warmer and more approachable, made for storytelling and explainers. Maria is quiet and gentle, for videos and audiobooks, and Piotr a warm, low storyteller that suits ads and film. The nasal vowels ą and ę, the hardest thing to fake in Polish, come out as nasals rather than as plain vowels with an n glued on.

## Frequently asked questions

**Does it handle Polish consonant clusters and diacritics?**

Yes - ą, ę, ć, ł, ń, ó, ś, ź and ż are native sounds for these voices, and clusters like szcz and prz are read as one unit rather than broken up with inserted vowels.

**Does it get Polish stress right?**

Yes. Polish stress falls on the second-to-last syllable almost without exception, and native voices apply it automatically - including in the long inflected forms where foreign TTS drifts.

**Can it read Polish declensions and mixed English text?**

The voices read whatever case endings your text uses; they do not change grammar. English terms and brand names inside Polish text are pronounced as English rather than through Polish spelling.

**How much does Polish text to speech cost?**

Native Polish voices exist on every tier: two on Standard at 50 credits per 1,000 characters, and the six on this page on Enhanced at 110 or Premium at 160. A 1,000-character paragraph is roughly one minute of speech - about $0.10 on Standard or $0.23 on Enhanced at the $5 pack rate. No subscription.
