These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Maksym Soloviov FOP (the operator of Speecho). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. References in these Terms to "Speecho", "we", "us", or "our" refer to the operating sole proprietorship described above. Please read these Terms carefully. ## 1. The Service Speecho provides AI-powered speech-to-text transcription on a pay-as-you-go basis. You purchase credits in advance and spend them by transcribing audio or video files (for video, the audio is extracted in your browser before upload). Each transcription also includes AI summaries and translations into 18 languages: the first two summary styles and the first two translation languages per transcription are free; additional styles or languages are billed in credits at the rates shown in the app. AI chapter generation is free. Speaker identification (diarization) is available as an opt-in feature and may consume credits at a higher rate than the standard transcription (the exact multiplier is shown next to the option in the app and may change over time). The Service also includes live subtitles: real-time speech recognition with optional live translation, billed per second of session time against the same credit balance (in the two-person conversation mode the translation can also be read aloud in a synthetic voice, at the higher rate shown in the app), and a live interpreter: real-time translation of speech into another language, spoken in a synthetic voice with the text on screen, billed per second of session time against the same credit balance at the rate shown in the app. Additional features draw on the same credit balance at the rates shown in the app: handwriting recognition (billed per scanned page), burned-in video captions (billed per started video minute), an in-browser meeting recorder (recordings are transcribed at the standard audio rate), transcript chat (billed per question, priced by transcript length), and text-to-speech voice generation (billed per 1,000 characters of input text, at the rate of the voice tier you select). Text-to-speech uses licensed stock voices only - Speecho does not offer voice cloning or custom voice creation. AI chapters and searching your own transcription history are free. All prices are in US Dollars (USD). ## 2. Accounts and Demo Mode - You may look around the Service without an account ("Demo mode"). Demo mode shows sample data only: no session is created on our servers, nothing you do there is stored, and nothing can be purchased. Processing your own audio, text, images or video requires a registered account. - **Former guest sessions**: until October 2026 the Service could be used, and credits bought, without an account ("Guest mode"). Guest mode is no longer offered. Credits bought as a guest before then remain valid: email with the order ID from your Paddle receipt and we will move them to an account. - Registered accounts allow you to access your credits and transcription history from any device. You can register either with an email address and password or by signing in with Google. - You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. If you turn on two-factor authentication, keep your recovery codes somewhere safe: we cannot switch the second factor off for you, so losing both the authenticator and the codes means losing access to the account. ## 3. Credits and Payments - Credits are purchased in advance and deducted per use: per second of audio transcribed, per second of session time for live subtitles and the live interpreter, per scanned page for handwriting recognition, per started video minute for captions, per question for transcript chat, and for AI summary styles or translation languages beyond the two of each included free with every transcription (chat and these extras are priced by transcript length). AI chapters are free. The current rates are always shown in the app before you confirm a paid action. - Credits do not expire. - Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all transactions, applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax), and invoicing. - Refunds are governed by our [Refund Policy](https://speecho.app/refund/). - Support adjustments. We may add credits to your balance by hand, for example to make up for a failed job or as a goodwill gesture, or correct a balance that was set wrongly. Such changes appear in your payment history as "Support adjustment". Credits added this way have no cash value, are not redeemable for money and are non-refundable. - Promotional credits. We may offer welcome or promotional credits to new users. Unless stated otherwise, welcome credits are limited to one per person. We may withhold, reduce or revoke promotional credits where we detect duplicate accounts, disposable email addresses, automated signups or other abuse. Promotional credits have no cash value, are not redeemable for money, are non-refundable, and may be changed or discontinued at any time. ## 4. Acceptable Use You agree not to use the Service to transcribe content that is illegal, infringes third-party intellectual property rights, contains hate speech, or violates the privacy of others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice. **Text-to-speech.** You may only submit text that you own or have the right to use. You agree not to generate audio that is illegal, infringing, hateful, or intended to impersonate a real person or organization or to mislead listeners about its synthetic origin. The voices offered are licensed stock voices; audio you generate is yours to use for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, consistent with these Terms. **Recording consent.** If you record a meeting or call - with the built-in meeting recorder or any other tool - you are solely responsible for complying with the call-recording and consent laws that apply to you and to every other participant. Many jurisdictions require you to inform all participants that the conversation is being recorded, and some require their explicit consent. Announce the recording before it starts; the app reminds you of this every time you start a meeting recording. The same applies to "Keep audio" in live subtitles and the live interpreter, and to translating a call or meeting with the live interpreter. Speecho only provides the recording, transcription and translation tooling and accepts no liability for recordings made without the legally required notice or consent. ## 5. Public Sharing The Service includes an optional sharing feature: you can generate a share link for any completed transcription, which makes that transcription - including the filename, transcript text, AI summary, and translations - publicly viewable by anyone with the link. Sharing is opt-in, requires explicit confirmation each time, and can be revoked from your dashboard at any moment (the link will then return a 404 to all visitors). Share links use cryptographically random tokens and are not enumerable; they are also marked with `X-Robots-Tag: noindex` so search engines are asked not to index them. You are solely responsible for any transcription you choose to share. By creating a share link, you confirm that you have the legal right to publish the underlying audio's transcription and that doing so does not infringe on third-party rights (copyright, privacy, confidentiality, NDAs, or others). We may disable share links at our discretion if we determine the shared content is abusive, infringing, or in violation of these Terms. Live subtitle sessions include a similar opt-in viewing feature: while a session is running, you may enable a real-time viewing link (also available as a QR code) that lets anyone who has it follow the live transcript as text, currently limited to 20 concurrent viewers per session. The viewing link is **off by default** and can be disabled at any moment during the session (which immediately disconnects all viewers). If the viewing link is still enabled when the session ends, the same link continues to serve the saved transcript of that session as a regular share link; you can revoke it at any time from your dashboard, and it stops working if you delete the transcription. If you disable the viewing link before ending the session, it stops working entirely. Viewing links use cryptographically random tokens and are not enumerable. The responsibility rules in the preceding paragraph apply equally to live viewing links: by enabling one, you confirm you have the right to make the transcribed speech available to your audience. The live interpreter has a similar opt-in listen link (also available as a QR code): while it is switched on, anyone who has it hears the translated voice and reads the translated text of your session in real time, currently up to 20 listeners at a time. Listeners never get the original audio or text, or any access to your account. The link is **off by default** and can be switched off or replaced with a new one at any moment. The responsibility rules above apply equally: by switching it on, you confirm you have the right to make the translated speech available to your audience. ## 6. Accuracy and Disclaimer Speech recognition, translation, summaries and the other AI features, and speech synthesis are performed by third-party AI providers: Soniox, Groq, OpenAI, Google (Gemini API), Replicate, ElevenLabs and DeepInfra. Text-to-speech uses their licensed stock voice libraries. While accuracy is typically high (90%+ on clean audio), we do not guarantee 100% accuracy and are not liable for errors, omissions, or misinterpretations in transcription, summary, or translation results. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. ## 7. Data and Privacy Audio files are streamed to the AI providers listed in section 6 (which ones depends on the features you use) for processing and are not retained on our servers after transcription completes. Live subtitle audio is streamed to them in real time for recognition and is likewise not retained, unless you enable "Keep audio" for the session, in which case the recording is stored for up to 90 days alongside the transcript and can be deleted at any time. A kept live recording may, at your request, be transcribed again through the regular pipeline; this is billed like a file upload and creates a separate transcript with its own copy of the audio. Live interpreter audio is streamed in real time for translation and is not retained unless you enable "Keep audio", in which case the recording of the original is stored on the same terms; the translated voice is never stored. Text you submit for text-to-speech is sent to those providers for synthesis; the submitted text and the generated audio file are stored for up to 90 days so you can replay and download the clip, and are deleted earlier if you delete the clip or your account. Service Availability We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Soniox, OpenAI, Groq, Google, Replicate, ElevenLabs, DeepInfra, hosting providers), or unforeseen events may cause downtime. We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions. ## 9. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, Speecho's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. ## 10. Changes to Terms We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email (for registered users) or a banner on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. ## 11. Termination You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, purchases made within the last 14 days can be refunded under our [Refund Policy](https://speecho.app/refund/). ## 12. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine.
