Live interpreter for guides

# Guide in your language. Guests hear theirs.

Speak into your phone or a headset microphone. Guests scan a QR code, put in their own headphones and hear the tour in their language a few seconds behind you, with the text on screen. No receivers to hand out, charge or collect.

## For tours where the group does not speak your language

Walking tours, museum visits, factory tours, city groups.

### Receivers to hand out and collect

Radio guide sets mean charging, handing out, collecting and counting them, and the one that goes missing.

**Now:** Guests use the phones and headphones they already carry. You show them a QR code.

### A group that speaks another language

You repeat every stop twice, or half the group waits while the other half listens.

**Now:** You speak once and the group hears the translation in their headphones. One language per tour, chosen before you start.

### An interpreter for every tour

Booking an interpreter for each group costs more than the tour brings in.

**Now:** Billed by the second only while the session runs. Stop it during breaks; guests waiting at the meeting point cost nothing.

## How a tour runs

Guests scan a QR code; you press Start and talk.

### Show the QR code

Switch on the listen link and show its QR code on your phone. It stays the same for your next tours in the same browser.

### Guests scan at the meeting point

They open the page, tap Listen and wait. Waiting costs nothing.

### Press Start and talk

They hear you in their language a few seconds behind, with the text on their screen too.

### Stop for breaks

Guests stay on the page. Press Start again and the tour continues on their phones.

## What you see while you guide

Your words, their translation, and how many guests are listening.

## What your guests see

A plain page in their browser: the translation as text, one button to hear it, nothing to install.

## Good to know

- Up to 20 guests per tour, all hearing the same language.
- Guests need mobile data or Wi-Fi, and their own headphones.
- The translation runs a few seconds behind you. Leave a short pause after a key sentence.
- Use a microphone close to your mouth: street noise makes speech harder to recognise.
- Guests keep the page open. Locking the phone can pause the sound on some phones.
- A session lasts up to two hours. Start a new one for a longer tour.

## How you pay

The same pay-as-you-go balance as transcription and text to speech. No subscription.

[See pricing →](https://speecho.app/pricing/)

- Billed by the second, only while a session is running
- Listeners waiting on the link cost nothing
- The app shows how long your balance lasts before you start
- Credits never expire

## Live interpreter for tour guides: questions

**Do guests need an app?**

No. They scan the QR code and the page opens in their phone's browser. No app, no account.

**What if a guest arrives late?**

They scan the same code and join where the tour is. The text of what they missed is already on the page.

**Can each guest choose their own language?**

Not yet. One tour translates into one language, the one you pick before starting, and every guest hears that one.

**Does it work outdoors?**

Yes, as long as your phone and the guests' phones have a connection. Use a microphone close to your mouth so traffic and wind do not drown you out.

**How much mobile data does a guest use?**

Listening streams the voice, so plan for up to about 170 MB per hour of non-stop speech, usually less, because pauses send nothing. Guests on roaming can use Wi-Fi wherever there is some: at the meeting point, in a museum or in a café.

**How many guests can listen?**

Up to 20 per tour.

**How is it billed?**

By the second from your pay-as-you-go balance, only while the session runs. Guests waiting on the link before you start cost nothing.

## Your next tour, in your guests' language.

No receivers to hand out: guests listen on their own phones.
